The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) chair Rod Sims has advised that the results of the NBN fixed line home speed tests will be published in March.
Roughly 2000 homes are having their speeds monitored at the moment after the ACCC put out a call for voluntary participants. The monitoring will continue for another 4 years and cover some 4000 homes.
On ABC radio Sims said,“We’ll be putting out a monitoring report by the end of March where everybody can see which providers are providing what speeds, and that will firstly allow consumers to see what’s going on,”
Sims also went on to say that more reports will follow, which would help identify things like which providers have not bought sufficient CVC capacity.
